Last week our interns and co-ops had the opportunity to explore Yazaki’s Testing Center. Guided by Engineering Manager, Scott Lyttle, students gathered insight to some of Yazaki’s outstanding technologies and product testing capabilities. From thermal shock chambers to radio-wave controlled rooms, students were exposed to Yazaki’s Testing Center in a way that offered insight into the demands of the automotive industry.
As part of the internship and co-op programs, students work alongside Yazaki team managers in of their respective areas of interest. However, in an effort to give our students a chance to see the company from every perspective our student programs aim to give them a well-rounded experience. Students from sales, engineering, and even HR gathered at the Testing Center for a tour and demonstrations that allotted opportunities to ask questions.
“I thought the Testing Center was very cool,” shares ASQE Intern, Mason Falk. “It was interesting to see the extremities Yazaki takes to ensure that our products perform at their best in every condition. Scott was very helpful in answering questions. I found myself comparing my car and its performance to what he shared.”
