CANTON, Mich., and NAVOJOA, Sonora, Mexico — April 13, 2026 — Yazaki can confirm that on Friday, April 10, an altercation involving two employees occurred near our facility in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico.
Following the altercation, a female employee collapsed in the street outside the facility property and sustained a serious head injury. Tragically, she later passed away. We are deeply saddened by this loss, and our thoughts are with her family, friends, and colleagues.
The safety and well-being of our employees is our highest priority. We are working closely with local and regional authorities to support their investigation and to better understand all the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Out of respect for those involved and the ongoing investigation, we are unable to share additional details at this time. We will continue to cooperate fully with authorities and provide updates as appropriate.
