Lois Bingham, Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Compliance Officer, presented at Foley and Lardner’s 2018 Auto Show Program. The event focused on growth in the automotive industry and technology, and how the changes are creating both opportunities and challenges. With 150 executives in attendance, Lois participated in a panel discussion about creating a culture of compliance amidst industry transformations.

Lois shared with the audience her key items for a successful Corporate Compliance Program.

• Don’t let lady luck fool you, be prepared. Never rely on previous practices, always be thinking out of the box.
• We are in this for the long haul, the need is not going away.
• Extend your focus past QCD. Quality, Cost and Delivery are vital, but an equal focus on compliance needs to be stressed.
• Don’t wait for perfect, because it doesn’t exist, understand your own dynamics and work within the gaps to find the places where compliance can do the most good.
