Automotive Wire Harness Production Starts in Serbia―Yazaki Group's First Production Base in the Country
Yazaki Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinji Yazaki) has established a new company to produce automotive wiring harnesses in Serbia, and commenced mass production on July 4.
The new company, named Yazaki Serbia d.o.o. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yazaki Wiring Technologies GmbH. The equity capital is approximately 120 million yen (120 million Serbian dinar), and the investment amount is approximately 3,060 million yen (€25.1 million).
Yazaki Serbia will produce automotive wiring harnesses mainly for European truck makers, and although the official opening ceremony will be held in September, it is planned to start delivery to customers in July.
In order to further strengthen its business, Yazaki Serbia plans to hire 1,700 people by the end of 2019.
