Robert J. Kunihiro Named Yazaki North America, Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer

Canton, Mich. – Robert J. Kunihiro joined Yazaki North America, Inc. as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. He has oversight over the Finance, Planning, Legal, and Information Technology teams. Robert brings substantial experience to the company having worked in both automotive and non-automotive fields.

“With previous positions in strategic, operational, and financial capacities, Robert brings Yazaki a wealth of experience and knowledge,” said Nigel Thompson, Yazaki North America, Inc. President and CEO. “His contributions will help Yazaki maintain our position as the global leader in wiring harness manufacturing.”

Robert previously worked for ABC Group, Inc., a global Tier I Automotive Supplier, where he served in various capacities including Co-Managing Director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. He has also held senior positions at MI Developments, Inc.; Xenos Group Inc.; Pet Valu Canada Inc.; the Molson Companies Inc.; and Coopers & Lybrand.

An alumnus of the University of Toronto, Robert is a member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants, and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant. He has served as a Director of various professional industry associations, in particular the Canadian Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association.
