Students Hit the Auto Show Floor with Yazaki Engineers
January 12, 2018

Canton, Mich., January 12, 2018- For the sixth consecutive year Yazaki is hosting the #NAIASyazaki student program at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The program is dedicated to giving students an exciting peak into the automotive industry, and where better to do that than the NAIAS show floor! Students will have a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest technology, trends, and vehicles before the show officially opens to the public, all while being partnered with experienced engineers to show them the ropes.

This year’s students represent the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor and Dearborn), Wayne State University, Lawrence Technical University, and Kettering University. With their Yazaki Engineers students will be documenting trends and completing benchmarking and analysis of the technology on the vehicles spotlighted on the show floor.

“This program is yet another way to engage students in a non-traditional way. Yes, we participate in career fairs, but this program provides students with invaluable time interacting with professionals in their field of study,” says Tanisha Thibodaux, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Yazaki. “Campus visits and career fairs are expected. Our mentoring program; however, offers benefits for Yazaki and the students. Our engineers provide career insight and students receive a full introduction to our products.”

Follow their coverage Wednesday, January 17 and Thursday, January 18 from the show floor at #NAIASyazaki. Live coverage from the Auto Show is available on @YazakiNA on Twitter and Instagram or Yazaki North & Central America on Facebook.
