Investing in future generations
Knowing that children are the leaders of tomorrow, Yazaki has established many programs designed to give students the training and experience to help them be successful.
Summer Camp
To reinforce unity and understanding of our global future, Yazaki North America, Inc. selects and sponsors a group of children between the ages of 13 and 14 year to travel to Japan for a one-week, international "camp" experience. With over 20 nations represented, these young people meet, tour Yazaki facilities and experience Japan’s scenic country and colorful traditions.
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, the youth must have a parent or legal guardian who is a current Yazaki associate with at least 1 year of corporate service. The selection process also considers academic performance and reference letters. Yazaki representatives conduct a final interview to determine the youth's readiness to visit a foreign country for a week without their parents, meet new people and experience unfamiliar sights, sounds, smells and tastes! This truly unique program symbolizes Yazaki's hope and commitment to encouraging our upcoming generation to value global possibilities in business - and in life.
Co-op Program
Yazaki works with local universities to offer paid co-op opportunities for college students looking to gain "real world" work experience and college credit. Co-op assignments may be full-time, alternating semesters between work and school, or part-time during the school year. Interested parties should register with their school’s co-op program and are encouraged to check the Job Search page for available opportunities.
